About Our Mission
Welcome! Whether you are new or have been a part of our community for a while, we welcome you into our mission here at the CSC. The CSC is unique for many reasons and we hope you will find a spirit here that is life giving. We are not a parish, and our mission is to serve college students. It takes a village to build the faith of young people, and we welcome non-student community members who wish to be active participants in our mission by volunteering acts of service, prayers, mentorship or gifts of financial support. We invite you into our mission to serve students here at the CSC, below you will find some ways to help advance our mission.
There are many ways to help out around the CSC and the following are examples: Making soup or dessert for our two weekday Mass & Soup gatherings, helping serve at Mass, CSC Gala Committee, Baked goods for retreats and other events, landscaping at the CSC, office work, mentorship for students, faculty/staff engagement, hospitality, meals for students at holidays, set-up and clean-up at large student events, and much more. Contact Linda Domeyer if you are interested in helping out at firstname.lastname@example.org.
CSC Newman Gala
Our biggest fundraiser for the year takes place in the Fall and includes a silent and live auction, cocktails and dinner, and post-auction entertainment. This evening of community and fun is always such an incredible testament to the power of our generosity and the willing spirit of the individuals who come together to make the CSC such a wonderful place to thrive. If you’re interested in attending, donating, or volunteering before or during the event, contact Susan Quinn at email@example.com. We very much appreciate any support of time, talent, and treasure you are willing and able to provide!
Core Communities are faith sharing groups that seek to help individuals and couples create and strengthen their connections with others and with God. These groups, which meet at a community member's house, offer an opportunity to engage the Scriptures and share life with other community members. Each Core Community consists of 8-10 people, and will meet every other week from September-November. If you are interested in joining a Core Community, please click HERE and fill out the form. If you have any questions, please contact Sean (firstname.lastname@example.org or at (618) 975-3937).
