Re: Liturgical Ministry - how to get involved!
If you are looking for another way to get involved at the CSC this Lenten
season, we have just the opportunity for you! We have several ways for you
to serve during each mass:
- Be a Sacristan:
Serve behind the scenes by helping to prepare for Mass and to clean up
afterwards.
- Be a Eucharistic Minister:
Distribute the Precious Body and Blood of Jesus Christ during
Mass.
- Be a Greeter / Usher:
Actively welcome fellow community members at the beginning of Mass,
distribute collection baskets during Mass, and
pass out bulletins after Mass.
- Be a Lector:
Proclaim the Word of God to the assembly during Mass.
- Be a Hospitality Minister:
These great souls show up early, set out food and drinks after Mass and clean it up after
folks leave.
So now that we have (hopefully) convinced you that Liturgical
Ministry is a great and easy way for you to help your church, how
does one get involved?
Glad you asked! Fill out the clipboards in the lobby anytime, or
outside
after mass. You may also fill out little blue slips of paper that
are provided in the lobby. Contact Troy at x222 or Ernestine
Shivers-Jones at x201 (both emails are printed on the bulletin and linked
to on the staff page) if you have any questions. To
make signing up even more simple, an application is being developed
on this web site to sign up/register for that.
And with that, we thank you so much for signing up and hope to see all of
you soon!
