CSC Liturgical Ministers

A brief description of primary duties:

Lectors proclaim the Word and the Petitions at Mass. You will need to arrive at least 10 minutes before Mass. The first and second readings also require preparation before Mass.

Greeter/Ushers greet people as they come in, help take up the collection, hand out bulletins and get the chapel back in order after Mass. This requires about 20 minutes before Mass and 10 minutes after Mass.

Communion Ministers help distribute the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass. (These ministers need to be Catholic.) This requires checking in 10 minutes before Mass.

Hospitality Ministers set up and clean up after the social time at Mass. This requires about 30 min. before Mass and around 45 min. after Mass.

Sacristans set up and clean up the communion vessels, altar linens, and sanctuary for Mass. This requires 20 minutes before and 10 minutes after Mass.

Music Ministry

The CSC Music Ministry is a fun, vibrant group of individuals that seeks God through the creation of music. The CSC has a rich tradition of music ministry, including the creation of mass parts designed specifically for the CSC.

Ministry of Moms Sharing (MOMS)

Praise and Adoration

Praise and Adoration gives students an opportunity to spend time in prayer and song with the Blessed Sacrament. Praise and Adoration occurs Thursday nights during the school year.

Small Church Communities

Small Church Communities gives individuals an opportunity to meet regularly with a group of less than ten people to create close bonds and break open the Word of God.

Intramural Sports

The CSC helps to organize teams for many of the Washington University intramural league. Sign-ups occur each season for that season's sports.
