CSC Friends

CSC friends are the community of people who attend Mass and worship, volunteer, donate, or otherwise support our Mission. If you’re not a student but you are connected to our community in any way, we consider you a friend!

The CSC Friends Executive Board was formed to provide programming that is geared toward providing spiritual and social enrichment of non-students.

The executive board offers four types of programs, each of which are described below. Please take some time to review these offerings and to find ways to get involved. Know that you are always welcome and we look forward to seeing you at future events. There are no fees to attend events unless it is otherwise noted. If you are interested in learning more, please fill out the email signup and interest form below or contact Julie Schowe (schowe@washucsc.org).

Engagement Opportunities

Available Programs

  • The spiritual program allows members opportunities to read scripture or other religious writings. The bulk of this formation involves joining a Core Community group in which the group will read a spiritual book or article and then meet to discuss. If you are interested in learning more, contact one of the co-chairs for more information:

Carol Jones (jones@washucsc.org) or Mary Fitzgibbons Clarkson (maryfitzgibbons@yahoo.com)

  • The social program provides opportunities for CSC friends to gather as a community. Examples of social programs may include bbq after Mass, or a night out for young families. If you are interested in learning more, contact one of the co-chairs for more information:

    Tom & Kathy Sommers (tsommers1@hotmail.com & kathysommers@hotmail.com)

  • CSC Friends invite speakers to discuss relevant and enriching topics related to your faith. These are great opportunities to deepen your knowledge of your faith. Talks are scheduled to occur 3-4 times per year.
